However, I
truly believe that art is individual and can be found everywhere. There might be a lack of interest
in classic art with young people today, but that is not all art has to offer. In the following essay I
will explore this topic further.

As for a fact, young people today are often not interested in classic art anymore, a reason for that
being how fast-paced the world nowadays is. Classic art in particular needs time to develop itself.
There is supposed to be room for interpretation for it to have a positive effect on people. The
issue today is that young people practically run through life, always having to stress about school
and managing their time. Therefore, the time for seeing the beauty in classic art is simply not
there.

Despite this fact, young people are still artistic. The popularity of social media increased
drastically during the last years. Thus, young people often get in contact with art. Although some
people may think that TikTok videos and Instagram pictures are not art, they can still be
considered it. For instance, there are many young artists who use social media to spread their
creations. Furthermore, making TikTok dances lets people get together and art is all about
connecting people and building a community. Social media has much artistic potential people
often do not even recognise.

With continuing this thought, one might already realise the simplicity of turning young people
into art lovers. They need to be shown that many of the videos they see are already some forms
of art. Furthermore, creating their own art can benefit their well-being, since it is all about
portraying one’s feelings and emotions. Most important is killing the image of art being boring.
The young generation needs to know that creating art can be fun and the perfect activity to do
with their friends: From dancing, to singing, to even making videos. The options are endless.

To sum up everything that has been stated so far, today’s youth is not inartistic. There may be
changes in the popularity of specific types of art. However, art is individual and free, therefore
specific types are not important. It is art itself that is valuable.

Marlene Unter 7M // April 2024
Oberstufe // Non-Fiction // Essay
[/et_pb_text][/et_pb_column][/et_pb_row][/et_pb_section]

[13

post-241995","post","type-post","status-publish","format-standard","has-post-thumbnail","hentry","category-aycr
["GET
